Bella, Caeleigh and Isobel

Bella, Caeleigh and Isobel each created a mini beast poster. Bella created a poster on a Ladybird. An interesting fact i read on her poster was that lady birds usually eat plant lice. Caeleigh created a poster about the Praying Mantis. I found an interesting fact that said the larger group of these is usually called Praying Mantids. Isobel also did her poster on ladybirds, so i looked up a fact and found that the average life span of the ladybird is 3 years. Good job guys :)

Braeden, Jamie and Pippa

The mini beast projects are brilliant, and Braeden, Jamie and Pippa's projects are just as great. I asked each of them to give me one interesting fact about their mini beast and this is what they came up with.

Pippa's : Dragon fly's live near ponds and rivers.

Braeden: The huntsman can live for 100 years.

Jamie: The tarantula female lives for 30 years and the males lives for 20.

Khem's fact about a Emperor scorpion is that it lives in the African tropical rainforest and is poisonous. Thomas's fact about his lady bug is that they can fly up to 1000m high.

Jasmine, Alfie and Cooper

Jasmine, Alfie and cooper have beeen working hard on their mini beast projects. I have asked each to give me one interesting fact about their bug. Jasmine did her project on Caterpillars and her fact is that caterpillars turn into butterflies and it takes more than 2 weeks. Alfie's fact about the Funnel web spider is that the female spider is bigger than the male. Cooper's fact about the Daddy Long legs is that it has 8 legs and that they are very skinny.

Jordan,Keeley and Cade

Jordan, Keeley and Cade have been hard at work creating incredible mini beast posters. As you can see from this photo they really stand out and look incredible. An interesting fact about Jordans mini beast, the taratula, is that they live on trees and eat the insectss that crawl around. Keeley did her project on the butterfly, and an interesting fact is that they get honey out of purple flowers and eat it for lunch. Cade's bug the red back spider interesting fact is the male spider eats it dad.

Amelia and Perry

Stick Insects and Blue Tarantulas are two bugs you probably dont know much about, unless you're Perri and Amelia, who have both been studying one of these bugs and have desinged a poster for us. Amelia did hers on the blue tartantula. I hadn't heard of a blue tarantula until today. Amelia's poster is brilliant and her tarantula moves is pretty scary. Perri did hers on the stick insect. Her poster looks awesome. Keep up the good work.

Emma,Bonnie and Jasmine

Emma, Bonnie and Jasmine have been hard at work creating their mini beast projects. Not only do they look great, but give heaps of information too. Emma's butterfly project is beautiful just like butterflies themselves, Bonnie's ladybug poster has a huge picture of a ladybug that is drawn brilliantly and looks just like a ladybug, and Jamine's millipede poster is a little cut out of the photo... Good job girls.

Max, Georgia and Obe

Max, Georgia and Obe have been working hard on their mini beast projects. Obe's Sydney Funnel web spider project is brilliant and tells me heaps about the spiders and where they live but its a little scary ;). Luckily Georgia's ladybird poster isn't as scary as Obe's but gives me the same amount of information. Max's Slater project is brilliant but it's about bugs, blegh :) but if you're a bug person then this poster is great. Good job Guys.
